There is never a plan

Nov 11, 2016

There is never a plan, well there is a plan but it can change depending on how I think the sky looks when I roll out of the second garage door into the darkness of the morning.

I am always looking for something “different” (I hate that phrase) what I am always looking for is what suits me and how I am reacting to the dawn of the day. Places are researched and I do also go scouting in daylight hours so I know what it might look like or feel like under foot in the darkness of an early morning when most are still tucked up bed.

As was commented on a recent Instagram post, “it makes me feel like I am there” that is what I want you to think and feel when you view the images. That is makes people want to put them on the wall so they can recall that every time they walk past the image. It’s not just about little squares on a screen as you scroll through a social media feed.

My landscape images are about uncovering locations you might not know about in the Sutherland Shire but more than that they are about little glimpses into what is out there. Further to that looking at any art or photography, be it landscape photography or landscape artwork you are also looking into the eye of the creator.

So when you look at SecretShire landscapes you are seeing into a part of my mind, I open it up to you to view and judge but more so to view and desire to hang that image on your walls.
